Vigo, (February 16th, 2023) – VICUS DT, a Spanish CFD and naval propulsion engineering company, takes a firm step in its global expansion and international consolidation strategy by opening its first local business office in the United States.
This local office, which will operate under the name of VICUS Engineering USA, seeks to provide a local service for the US market through the commercialization of its CFD engineering services and products for the naval propulsion, maritime transport, energy industries, and offshore. Mainly oriented to shipyards, shipowners, and ship design offices of the shipbuilding sector of the United States and Canada.
VICUSdt has chosen Houston, Texas – the epicenter of international business development in the United States- to settle its first local office to provide its technical support and to offer a complete service adapted to customers’ needs in this region. Moreover, the company seeks to fulfill the demands of the shipowners regarding the decarbonization process and the improvement in the efficiency of their fleets in North America.
The new office will be managed by the engineer Marcos Meis, part of the VICUSdt team, as its technical director. Marcos will be moving to the US in a few months and will count on David Wingfield’s collaboration as part of the team, an American sales engineer expert in the naval market, to reinforce the brand and offer its specialized services for the maritime and naval field.
Adrián Sarasquete, Manager of VICUSdt, emphasizes in this regard: “Settling a new local office with which to directly access a strategic global market such as the United States, where we already have implemented our services, is the most important milestone achieved by the company in terms of internationalization and market positioning.”

The opening of this subsidiary in the American continent is part of VICUSdt’s 2020-2025 Strategic Plan, which also contemplates the implementation of a second international headquarters and the continuous growth of its international agents’ network with which to establish itself in new strategic markets.
