VicusDT has earned an international reputation for customized designs and efficient propellers for a wide range of ships, and for their CFD studies and shape optimization of large vessels in the service of shipping. Our experience includes designs for all kinds of ships, from small fishing boats to merchant ships.
Among our recent projects, we can mention the design and supply of 4 fixed pitch propellers in the nozzle (diameter 1.7m) for two river pusher of a Dutch owner. During official sea trials, it could be checked the compliance with expectations and design requirements, reaching the service design speed with the appropriate comfort level on board. During trials the ship reached a speed of 23 Km / h pushing a barge forward and one on the side, exceeding benefits under the project and with the minimum noise level and vibration at full power.
